Looking for new ideas for decorating your home? We offer you a selection of interesting and proven solutions.
Paint in an original way!
- Lace pattern. The latest trend is creating a lace design with tulle. Here, the tulle acts as a stencil. The fabric is placed on the painted wall, and TRIORA texture paint is applied over it. The result is a beautiful volumetric pattern.
- Ombre. The fashionable painting technique with a transition from one color to another looks simply chic. The gradient can be either vertical or horizontal. Creating ombre is easy, and the result will impress you for a long time.
- Pearlescent wall. A great idea to enrich an ordinary interior. If your walls are covered with paintable wallpaper, paint one of them with the shiny decorative material TOP lasur TRIORA. The base color will remain in the background, and the pattern will shimmer beautifully with pearlescent shine. If your walls are already painted, you can create a pattern on one of them using texture paint.
- The skill of the brush. After all, there’s an artist in all of us. Paint your masterpiece on the wall. There’s no need to fear an unsatisfactory result—abstractions and geometric patterns are within everyone’s reach.
- Garage graffiti. Do you like street art? Ask some talented friends to decorate a wall in your chosen room with graffiti. It’s bold, unusual, and unique.
- Wall in frames. Wide plastic panels are glued around the perimeter of the accent wall. It’s best to paint the wall itself in a contrasting color, and place a picture in the center—or repeat the framing again to create a “painting within a painting.”
- Split in half—but not horizontally as we’re used to, but vertically. Divide the wall into two different sections: decorate the smaller part with patterned wallpaper, and the larger with a solid color. Hang a picture on the monochrome section that matches the shades of the colored section. An impressive composition is ready.
NOT just wallpaper
- 3D wallpaper with perspective images. They create an optical illusion of reality, visually expand the room, and refresh any interior.
- Glass stained glass panels. Nowadays they are often used in kitchens, but we recommend using them in any room of your home. You can highlight part of a wall with stained glass, place a pair of glass columns with designs on the wall, or make a thin panel around the perimeter—it looks very elegant.
- Cozy cork covering. Gluing cork sheets is a great option for walls that need insulation. Cork retains temperature, soundproofs, and looks very exotic in an interior.
- Wooden walls. Do you love Scandinavian style or hygge? Then wood-paneled walls are perfect for you! You can use rectangular planks or round wood slices—just make sure they’re well sanded and for durability cover them with TRIORA acrylic varnish.
- Ceramic mosaic tiles. Beautiful tiles look great not only in bathrooms but also on living room walls! A mosaic made of brightly colored ceramics is both beautiful and practical.
Dekorative “chips”
- Chalkboard wallpaper is popular among families with children! With such walls, it’s easy to explain lessons to your child or spend time creating wonderful drawings to decorate your home together! For a neat look, place the wallpaper at the center of the wall and frame it with panels.
- Backlit wall. Have you noticed how beautiful buildings look when lit from below at night? Why not use this trick at home? Place several colored spotlights along the length of your wall, cross their beams, and enjoy beautiful lighting effects in the evenings!
- Fabric panels. Choose contrasting pieces of fabric you like, stretch them over frames, and hang them on your wall! For more volume, hang panel over panel to create multi-level compositions.
- Wall greening (vertical gardens). The method is simple—choose pots that match your wall color and hang them randomly along your wall! Such a garden looks impressive on white walls—and by the way, it’s ideal for small rooms since white visually increases space!
- Unusual shelves made from shelves of different sizes—you can create any interesting pattern: from a house to wall Tetris! This idea is both original and functional!
- Interior letters (wall text). This decor element is popular nowadays—so feel free to make some for your own home! They could be cardboard models wrapped with thread, soft letters made from fabric, wooden cutouts or even mirror figures! The main thing is that they harmonize with your interior and that your chosen word expresses your mood!
- Paper collection panel (collage). If you collect paper items (for example stamps), put your collection on display—arrange them all under glass on one large canvas and hang it on the wall! A unique decoration is ready!
- Tension strings (stretch cords). Stretch strong cords across a solid-colored wall—you can even create patterns out of them! Hang beautiful clothespins on these cords—and attach anything you want: photos, notes or any cute little things! Instead of cords you could use Christmas garlands or LED lights!
When updating your walls, remember about harmony in your interior! If you decide to make one wall an original accent—let others remain a calm background that highlights your creative solutions!
