Nadvirnaya activists have ornamented the main square of the town Nadvirnaya

Nadvirna activists painted the main square of the city of Nadvirna. Several dozen meters of Hutsul ornament, executed in authentic colors using “TRIORA” paint, were painted on Shevchenko Square and further along Nadvirna’s hundred-meter stretch to the Town Hall.

“We decided that for the international Hutsul festival, which will be held in our city from September 11 to 13, this would be a nice decoration. It is on the central square that the masters of applied arts of the region will display their works,” says Tetyana Pryshlyak, an activist of the “VOLYA” party. “Thanks to our pattern, the main street of the city began to look different, and after the event, such embroidery will add brightness to the city. We hope that this beauty will make the local authorities pay attention to the peeling facades of buildings and loud signs that a priori spoil the visual style of the city.”

The organizers of the event, including Zhanna Bondarenko, director of Nadvirna children’s art school, tried to choose a drawing that would ideally complement the cobblestones of the main square, laid out in an ornamental shape.

“Ukrainians today proudly wear embroidery themselves, and we decided to put it on our city. We spent several days thinking about the drawing and settled on an ornament in the form of a ‘gerdany’ — a traditional Hutsul female decoration. The warm coloring of the figure was chosen not by chance, as it is characteristic of our Hutsul region,” explains Zhanna Bondarenko.

Dozens of Nadvirna residents joined the organizers; everyone had the opportunity to pick up brushes and contribute to the patriotic drawing. Local children are especially happy about this initiative.

It is pleasant to realize that our enterprise joined this colorful event — the drawings were done with facade acrylic paint “TRIORA,” which was tinted at the color studio of Ivano-Frankivsk branch warehouse.
