“The dream of one person can turn the whole world!” – Steve Jobs ` 3 stories

Steve Jobs is truly a cult figure today, but he was not the creator of the first “Apple” computer. It was through his efforts that personal computers began to sell at a phenomenal pace. Today, Steve Jobs’ speech to Stanford University graduates leaves one in awe and amazement!

The First Story – “Connecting the Dots”

Paradoxically, Steve Jobs dropped out of college. After only 6 months of study, he realized that education held no meaning for him. “I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life and didn’t see how college would help me figure it out. And so, I was just spending my parents’ money, which they had saved their whole lives. So I decided to drop out of college and trust that it would all work out okay. At first, I was scared, but looking back now, I realize that it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The moment I dropped out, I could stop taking the required classes that didn’t interest me and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.” ©

Steve attended calligraphy classes, which later helped create typography for the first “Macintosh”. Had he not dropped out of college, he would not have taken those calligraphy classes, and personal computers might not have had typography.
