There is no unpleasant work.

They say that someone who does what they love for a living is truly a happy person. And if you don’t feel warm feelings toward your job, there are two options: change your job or change your attitude towards it. And if the first option doesn’t suit you, then let’s move on to plan “B” – “Fall in love with your job.”

“I won’t give my cow to anyone, I need the cow myself”

favorite jobAs a rule, people choose their job according to their specialty. And thanks to youthful maximalism, most people get an education “out of love” for their chosen field. By choosing a job by profession or close to it, you subconsciously seek something close to your heart. It turns out that when you agreed to take your current job, you saw convincing advantages in it. What were they? Remember everything that attracted you to this job. If you’ve been working for quite some time, reevaluate it again—find its highlights and prospects.

Working on mistakes

Think about what exactly doesn’t satisfy you in your work. Psychologists say that from the whole list, the three points that come to mind first are usually the most important. Analyze them, find the causes of discomfort and possible solutions. If among your colleagues there are good friends or you have a trusting relationship with your manager, consult with them. Two heads are definitely better than one. Perhaps together you will find the very reasons that cause your negative perception.

Only forward

favorite jobHave you been stuck in one position for too long? You shouldn’t stay on one step for too long. Consider any opportunity for career growth. Think about how you would like to change your field of activity. Use all opportunities for learning and development. In many companies, employees are offered advanced training courses. Take advantage of them—unlock new resources. Or try filling in for a colleague during their vacation and change your activity for a while. Maybe after three days you’ll want to return to your old favorite job.

Live outside of work

favorite jobWhen your workday is over, stop working. Dedicate time to your hobbies. Go fishing, play sports or dance, read or write, sew or craft, travel and relax without limits. Enjoy new discoveries, have fun and grow as a person. By discovering yourself in something new and expressing yourself in another sphere, you’ll approach work with more enthusiasm. After all, work is your ballast—a foundation for developing hobbies and a vibrant life.

Every job has its pros and cons. Even if you choose your dream job, sooner or later you’ll face difficulties anyway. Take everything philosophically—this will help you maintain emotional stability and find solutions faster that work for you personally. Love your work—and it will surely love you back!
