How to Paint Interior Walls: Features

Each of us sooner or later comes to the thought that something needs to be changed in the interior. The process of renovation is quite labor-intensive, but knowing some features can simplify it.

Stages of Wall Preparation

Deep penetration primer TRIORABefore starting to paint the walls, it is necessary to carefully prepare the room. It is best to remove furniture and appliances, but if that’s not possible, cover them with protective film or tarpaulin.

Before painting, walls should be thoroughly prepared. They must be dry and clean.

If the walls have no visible defects, then before applying paint, it will be sufficient to prime them using “UNI-primer” from “TRIORA”. However, if the walls have any defects (cracks, unevenness), they need to be puttied and leveled with fine sandpaper. After this, apply deep penetration primer from “TRIORA” again. Do not skip the priming stage as it allows the paint to adhere maximally to the wall surface.

How to Paint Walls?

How to paint walls?Today, there is a huge variety of paints available, making it quite difficult to choose. It’s best to choose easy-to-apply paints without a strong odor, that are durable and quick-drying. These qualities are possessed by “TRIORA” paint.

Before application, wall paint should be thoroughly mixed. It is best to paint with a roller, but hard-to-reach areas such as behind radiators or around sockets should be painted with a thin paintbrush. Before applying the paint, make sure to properly squeeze out the roller so that the paint does not drip during application.

It is important that during painting, the room temperature is not below 5°C and not above 35°C, with humidity not exceeding 80%.

It is best to start painting walls from the corners. Paint should be applied in continuous strips. A common mistake is painting walls in small sections. By avoiding this, you will achieve a smooth and even coating.

When working with a roller, try to draw a long strip in one go, starting from the ceiling down to the middle of the wall, and then from the middle down to the floor. Paint strips should be applied edge-to-edge so that the transition between strips remains wet at all times. This way, you can achieve even paint application.

Usually, wall painting occurs in several layers. Do not forget that the second layer can only be applied after the first one has dried.

By following these simple rules, the process of painting walls will no longer cause you any difficulties.
